“Length Converter Website”

1.0 Rationale:

A length converter Website using client-side scripting is a web-based tool that allows
users to convert values between different units of length (such as meters, kilometers, feet,
inches, etc.) directly within their browser. This Length Converter is a web-based
application and this converter will have at least 10 Metric units and English units of
measuring system. The converter will have to be able to convert a typed number from one
type of unit of length to another that will be chosen by the user beforehand. The user will
have to choose what unit of length is currently in out of the 10 units. The user will then
have to choose what unit they want to convert it too out of the 10.
The converter has to be user friendly and aesthetically pleasing. In day-to-day life we all
are using different measurement units. Several times we have to use conversion of
measuring units from one to another. Such application can be used by any user. And
construction related areas where measurements units exchange take place on a daily
basis.

2.0 Aims/ Benefits of the project:


 Provide Instant Unit Conversions: To allow users to convert between various units of
length (e.g., meters, feet, kilometers, inches) instantly and efficiently.
 Enhance User Experience: To create a user-friendly tool that provides real-time
conversion without the need for internet connectivity or server interaction.
 User-Focused Design: The application can be designed with intuitive interfaces, making
it easy for users to navigate and perform conversions without confusion.
 Instant Feedback: Users get immediate conversion results, improving their overall
experience.
 Cross-Platform Compatibility: The converter runs in any modern browser, ensuring it
can be used on multiple devices, from desktops to mobile phones.

3.0 Course Outcomes:

a) Create Interactive Web Pages Using Program Flow Control Structure.


b) Implement Arrays and Functions in Javascript.
c) Create Event-Based Web Forms Using Javascript.
4.0 Proposed Methodology:
a. First, we Assign the topic of microproject as Length Converter Website.
b. Then we Collect the information about Microproject.
c. Then we prepare Proposal (part A) of project.
d. Then we Submit the proposal to guide.
e. After successful preparation of report, submit the report along with presentation.
