CSS Optional Subjects Selection Guide for BS Physics Students

This guide helps BS Physics students select the best optional subjects for CSS exams,

ensuring a total of 600 marks as per FPSC rules. Subjects are selected based on scoring potential,

relevance to scientific background, and administrative goals (e.g., Deputy Commissioner, Collector,

etc.).

Recommended Optional Subjects Combination (600 Marks)


International Relations - 200 Marks

Physics - 200 Marks

Criminology - 100 Marks

Sociology - 100 Marks

Important Notes:
- Total marks of optional subjects must be exactly 600.

- Only one subject can be chosen from Group-I and Group-II.

- Physics is included from Group-III due to your academic background.

- Criminology and Sociology are scoring and easy for science students.

- IR (International Relations) helps with Essay and Current Affairs too.
