STUDENT MANAGEMEN SYSTEM (SMS)
1.0 Introduction
Student Management System (SMS) layout using HTML and CSS. This layout is minimalistic and covers
basic styling for a dashboard-like interface with sections like a student list, form, and navigation
2.0 Aims/Benefits of the Project
This project aims to explore the Least Recently Used (LRU) page replacement algorithm and
analyze its effectiveness in managing memory efficiently. The benefits include:
• Reduced cache misses: LRU helps keep frequently accessed pages in memory, minimizing
cache misses and improving performance.
• Efficient memory usage: LRU ensures that memory is used effectively by replacing the
least recently accessed data, keeping relevant pages available.
• Adaptability: The algorithm adapts to changing access patterns, ensuring that older, less
useful pages are replaced over time.
• Widely applicable: LRU is used in many systems, including operating systems and caching
mechanisms, where efficient memory management is crucial.
3.0 Course Outcomes Achieved
This project will address the following course outcomes:
1. Understand core SMS functionalities: Learn the essential features like student data
management and reporting.
2. Develop a basic SMS: Build a simple Student Management System using web or
programming frameworks.
3. Ensure data security: Implement security measures for protecting sensitive student
information.
