Paper: Current Affairs – 100 Marks
The Current Affairs paper evaluates a candidate’s awareness of national and international
developments, their historical context, and their implications for Pakistan and the world.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate analytical ability, balanced judgment, and a clear
understanding of political, economic, and social trends.
I. Pakistan’s Domestic Affairs – 20 Marks
Covers major developments within Pakistan, including:
Political: Governance, constitutional matters, political stability, electoral processes, and
institutional performance.
Economic: Growth trends, trade, industry, agriculture, fiscal and monetary policies, and
economic challenges.
Social: Education, health, demographics, social reforms, and cultural dynamics.
II. Pakistan’s External Affairs – 40 Marks
