What is creative commons
 Creative commons is a non-profit
organization that allows people to copy your
things under certain rules like non-
commercial use. These rules are good because
if they use your things they have to give you
credit. But these rules do not last forever, they
last for a few years. when you use creative
commons the idea you have is not under the
 licence only the product.
Different types of creative
commons
 Attribution-This license lets others distribute, remix, tweak, and build upon
your work, even commercially, as long as they credit you for the original
creation. This is the most accommodating of licenses offered. Recommended
for maximum dissemination and use of licensed materials.
 Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike-This license lets others
remix, tweak, and build upon your work non-commercially, as long as they
credit you and license their new creations under the identical terms.
 Attribution-NonCommercial-This license lets others remix, tweak, and
build upon your work non-commercially, and although their new works must
also acknowledge you and be non-commercial, they don’t have to license their
derivative works on the same terms.
 Copyright- copyrights are where you have an piece of work that is totally
protected so no one change it or use it or any thing like that.
 No Derivative Works-A “derivative work” is a work based upon one or more
pre-existing works, such as a translation, musical
arrangement, dramatization, fictionalization, motion picture version, sound
recording, art reproduction, abridgment, condensation, or any other form in
which a work may be recast, transformed, or adapted. A work consisting of
editorial revisions, annotations, elaborations, or other modifications which, as a
whole, represent an original work of authorship, is a “derivative work”.
Good thing about Creative
Commons
 The good thing about Creative commons are
that people can use them with out asking the
person directly, and in some cases you can
modify it to make it fit the thing you need it
 for.
Bad things about Creative
Commons
 Itis not always noted if some one is using
your work for selling things or doing
something that your not supposed to with it.
