Drag & Drop from another webpage - Chrome 25/26

• Chrome version: 25.0.1364.172 m (clear installation)
• OS (Windows Vista 64 / Windows Vista 32 / CentOS 6.3)
• Related to: https://github.com/blueimp/jQuery-File-Upload/wiki/Drag-and-drop-uploads-from-another-web-page
• Problem description: if I try to drag an image into the jQuery-File-Upload there is no response by the browser. The file is not uploaded. The same code is working with Firefox and older versions of Chrome.

Confirmed (tested with Chrome 26), however this seems to be a browser bug, as there is no Clipboard data available.
Therefore you might want to report it on the Chrome issue tracker.

Please report back if this is not the case.

I tested with Chrome 26 and it works fine.

Do we agree on the test case:

• 2 chrome windows open, one on a page with JqueryFileUpload the other open on an image site.
• I drag an image from one window to the JFU window and drop it into the other.

Is that it ?

Hello I was doing some testing and the result is the following:

- Using jQuery 1.9.1: I can see that the browser get the image but it is not doing anything more.

- Using jQuery 1.7.2: I can see that the browser get the image. The the image is sent to getImageData.php. An finally is back as data/base64 encoded but I continue without see the new canvas and the configured fields.

So this might also be a bug in jQuery.
If this should be the case, please create an isolated test case and report it to the correct issue tracker.

@blueimp I indeed use your code with the only modification being a check for IE and a change from text/html to text in case IE is detected.
I use jQuery 1.8.4, i ran into too many problems with the 1.9.1.

Hello one more time. Prior to file a bug in jQuery or Chrome I did a investigation. The problem come from:
if (canvas.getContext && canvas.toBlob)
canvas.toBlob is null so the statement is not executed. I did some modifications to "Canvas to Blob 2.0" by Sebastian Tschan and now is working. I will review / clean the code and share this night.

My bad. Sorry so much for wasting your time. There is an updated version that fix the problem with an aproach different from what I did and I think it is better. You can close the issue.
