Duplicates not flagged on fresh install

Summary

The app shows a pop up for duplicate images before the upload is even initiated by the user. The validation often doesn't happen on the first run. Note that this happens intermittently.

Steps to reproduce

1. Select multiple images that are available already on Commons using the normal picker
2. Start filling out the details

Expected behaviour

The app should show a popup saying that the image exists already individually for each of the duplicates selected.

The popup doesn't appear

Does the custom picker show the picture as already uploaded?

Yes, the custom selector shows those images as duplicates. It's only happening for the first multi-upload using the normal selector.
