[Bug]: "Remove location", "Edit location", and "Show in map app" buttons are covered by the bottom system navigation bar

Summary

When the map view shows the "Remove location", "Edit location", and "Show in map app" buttons, they are barely seen and barely clickable, because they are covered by the system navigation bar.

The same problem happens when editing an image: "Rotate" and "Save" buttons are hidden by the navigation bar.

Steps to reproduce

"Remove location", "Edit location", and "Show in map app":

1. Start an upload.
2. Add location.
3. The "Add location" button changes to "Edit location". Tap "Edit location".
4. The map now shows the buttons "Remove location", "Edit location", and "Show in map app" at the bottom of the screen.

"Rotate" and "Save":

1. Start an upload.
2. Tap "Edit Image".

Expected behaviour

The buttons at the bottom are supposed to be clearly visible and clickable.

Actual behaviour

The buttons at the bottom are overlapped by the system navigation bar.

Hi, I’ve been working on this issue as part of my coursework and was able to reproduce it on a Galaxy S23 (Android 15) emulator.
The “Rotate” and “Save” buttons in the Edit Image screen were indeed covered by the system navigation bar.
I’ve implemented a fix by adding android:fitsSystemWindows="true" and bottom padding in the layout.
I have opened a pull request. 👍

Interestingly I am not able to reproduce the issue on main on my side (recent Pixel phone with Android 16), maybe it is device/OS-specific.

Yes, I also wasn’t able to reproduce the issue on other devices such as the Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 8a, and the Medium Phone emulator (Android 12–16). It only occurs on the Samsung Galaxy S23 (Android 15) in the “Edit Image” screen, where the “Rotate” and “Save” buttons are partially covered by the system navigation bar.

I just found out that I can reproduce this issue, however only for Rotate/Save somehow.
