Yes! The same line in Norwegian Bokmål is artikkel/artikler, so it would be very beneficial to have something like it! The function I am referring to is already used in MediaWiki, basically returning one of two (or more?) values depending on the number given. Not entirely sure how it works, but some languages also benefit from multiple number parameters.

It doesn't support PLURAL at the moment, but I agree that it would be useful. I can try fixing it myself.
