[Bug]: Place type screen becomes unresponsive and state is lost after device rotation

Summary

When selecting a Place type and rotating the device, the screen becomes stuck and the previously selected state is not preserved.

Steps to reproduce

1. Tap Place type
2. Select any option
3. Rotate device
4. Observe screen freeze

Expected behaviour

Screen should remain responsive after rotation

Actual behaviour

Screen becomes stuck requiring back button press
