prompt llm to show a progress bar when making many llm calls

e.g. extracting dates from emails sends ~no of emails requests. that takes a while and nothing happens on the screen. maybe in the prompt that explains the llm feature say that it's slow, so that if it generates many that it should show a progress bar and a way to abort?

We could surface LLM calls and other RPC messages in activity monitor! Very useful to indicate all in-flight effects, especially fallible ones.
