What is the purpose of this flag? It seems to cause problems for me when erasing characters in the autocomplete field after selecting a value. I would expect the autocomplete to run a new query, but that does not happen.

It prevents getting suggestions when item from the list is selected using ENTER key. I see that there is an issue when value is selected with mouse click. Filing this as a bug.

I see. I assume that it is possible to check that the change was caused by the enter key or not and set the flag accordingly?
