New Page Transitions Perform Poorly

The new page transitions (in the latest nightly) do not perform well on actual IOS devices. The transition is 'blinky' (at best) and sometimes there is no transition at all, the new page just blinks into view. I have confirmed this problem on the following devices:

iphone 4- IOS4.3.3
1st gen ipod touch- IOS 4.2.1

You can see this behavior at: http://jquerymobile.com/test/ This behavior did not exist prior to this commit (linked above). Also note, the transitions appear fine when testing from the IOS simulator.

I was seeing the problem too. I backed out that pull request:

Hopefully things are better now. If you can also confirm this, that would be great.
