Layout events .trigger('updatelayout'); doesn't work with delay/speed

As seen here the footer doesn't reposition itself to the bottom of the page when using a hide method that has a slow transition:

It's an easy fix as you just need to use it in a call back, maybe update the documentation?

The docs already say:

"Developers who are building dynamic applications that inject content into the current page can also manually trigger this updatelayout event to ensure components on the page update in response to the new content that was just added."

I guess we should adjust the verbage to say developers who are building apps that inject or hide content can also manually trigger updatelayout. We added the event so that folks can trigger it whenever they need to.

Developers who are building dynamic applications that inject, hide, or remove content from the page, or manipulate it in any way that affects the dimensions of the page, can also manually trigger this updatelayout event to ensure components on the page update in response to the changes.

Thanks for updating the docs but I also wanted to point out in this example : http://jsfiddle.net/YZRj2/17/ I'm using .slideUp() and not hide, this has a delayed transition and causes the footer to loose it's fixed position even if I use .trigger('updatelayout') by using a callback this fixes the issue http://jsfiddle.net/YZRj2/15/

Right, I saw that. Since this manipulation of content is happening outside of any framework calls, it's up to the developer to trigger the updatelayout event at the appropriate time.

I am having the same issue when using standard jquerymobile textinput fields and select-boxes. Both header and the footer are not replaced to their correct positions after leaving text-input and select-fields
