Input forms: box shadow are inconsistent across browsers

On 1.4alpha the input form's box shadow are not showing up on ie, and firefox. but shows on webkit browers. Back on version 1.3.2 this is not a problem. (tested on windows 8)

if I add the following css the problem is fixed:
