Thanks for contributing! Unfortunately, I don't think this note is right. First of all, we usually don't indicate where we use the native API if available since it doesn't affect the API, it's internals. Secondly, this is not even fully true as currently jQuery 2.x doesn't just pass the input to JSON.parse but first casts it to a string to avoid an Android 2.3 bug.
