we try to use the jquery migrate tool in order to identify issues within the jquery 2.2.4 to 3.2.1 migration.

Unfortunately, there is an issue in relation with angular 1.6.4:

The signature of passing a key/value object to jQuery.data() (e.g. element, values instead of element, key, value) appears to be undocumented per https://api.jquery.com/jQuery.data/.

However, this was reported before and has since then been fixed in the latest master of jQuery Migrate.

@domschmidt can you confirm that the version in master solves the problem? You can get a built version at http://code.jquery.com/jquery-migrate-git.js . Since this was reported in #198 and seems to be the same issue I'll close this, but we can reopen if it's something different and you can provide a test case.

Unfortunately I used the following version (as mentioned in the project readme):
https://code.jquery.com/jquery-migrate-3.0.0.js

I'll give it a try using your version and publish the results here.

@dmethvin The git version fixed the issue for me. The version linked on jQuery page, however, still has the issue. Thank you!

Just please don’t use the git version in production as it may break randomly! -- Michał Gołębiowski-Owczarek
