IE7&8 throw errors with v3.0.3

Any use of 3.0.3 w/ IE 7 or 8 throws a JS error:

Message: 'axis' is null or not an object
Line: 64
Char: 5
Code: 0

Line 64 is in the "Gecko" conditional block, but looks like IE's taking it anyway.

I've implemented what appears to be a fix in vitch/jquery-mousewheel@cfac611

I had to make the same change to get it working in IE. It would be great if we could get a new "official" release with this fix in it.

Also the demo at http://brandonaaron.net/code/mousewheel/demos is using the "3.0.3-pre" version of this plugin, which doesn't have this problem.
