Because string matching is used to compare the urls in menu items to the current page url, most menu urls match the home page, so the Home menu item gets the current class nearly always, but should not get it on sub-pages, only when on the home page.

Fixed in 7678179 by comparing the host and path. As far as I know, this will only cause issues when there's a link to a sub-site in the menu. For example, links to API sites or blogs will not have the menu item highlighted when not on the homepage of the sub-site. I think this is fine because we'll be adding small banners for sub-sites to highlight which site you're on.

It's possible that some sites have sub-pages that were relying on this behavior, but I'm not aware of any. If this does turn out to be an issue, one thing we can do is just not have a home link in the menu, the site logo already links to home. jqueryui.com doesn't have a home link in the menu and nobody has complained yet.

Another alternative would be to explicitly check if we're on the homepage and only allow substring checks for other pages.
