JavaScript error with SyntaxHighlighter in IE6-9

Having SyntaxHighlighter.js included on the page causes an error in all versions of IE:

'undefined' is null or not an object

This issue is caused by a compatibility issue between XRegExp (a bundled dependency of SyntaxHighlighter) and the 1.7.1 version of jQuery http://bugs.jquery.com/ticket/10961

This can be fixed by either a patch, or by making sure we all values that are animating (and probably .css) use strings instead of integers.

Do we want to patch this manually, or just wait for 1.7.2 (which this is fixed in)? I'm trying to clean up the remaining issues we have, and I think this one will resolve itself in time for release(?).

As noted a few months ago in the referenced jQuery ticket, this was fixed in XRegExp v1.5.1, as well as recent versions of SyntaxHighlighter.
