I want to add a jQuery UI section to the learning site, to handle some of this content as well as other things, for instance this issue about having Autocomplete topics.

However, having a single jQuery UI folder seems unwise - dealing with jQuery UI content was one of the main reasons I wanted to remember to get the issue for handling nested content in grunt-jquery-content down in writing.

As far as what specifically would belong in learn, the getting started guide and the theming content seems particularly germane

That sounds good to me too. So we'll port the upgrade guides to jqueryui.com and everything else to learn.
