You can see screenshots and download the Kindle ebook of jQuery Fundamentals here:

Let me know if I can do anything else to help on this front. Cheers.

Nice work! :)

We haven't really discussed this at length, but we might have some sort of integration with the build process that outputs multiple formats automatically based on the markdown files. Pandoc supposedly does this well, but I'm sure we could look into the recipies section of your readme for some guidance too.

hey there paul!

@addyosmani Thanks! FYI I'm building the ebook from the final webpage HTML, not from the upstream source markdown files. I've never tried Pandoc, so you should probably explore that option too for generating your Kindle edition. Just let me know when you decide.

I just installed pandoc to try this out and I couldn't figure out where the chapter order coming from. I dug around a bit and found the chapterOrder array in Rules. Is there any way to abstract this out to truly separate content from presentation? Otherwise, programmatically generating an epub with pandoc whenever there's an update is going to be a bit more of an annoyance..

See #87 - getting the order data for the content out Rules/metadata is something we've got to tackle

Is there anything to do on this issue anymore? The order information is certainly extracted out by now (in order.yml), but it doesn't appear that there's any actionable steps for us to take on this.

We are going to close this for now as there has been no action on it in nearly a year and there aren't steps for us to take right now. If anyone is interested in this, feel free to comment.

Hi, hello, good morning. I've just made a program to convert the repo into epub and mobi.

May this help?
