nanoc compile fails

I did a fresh checkout of master branch and "nanoc compile" fails resulting in the output folder never updating. It works in other branches (tested live and 2wordpress)

In master, nanoc watch produces....

nanoc watch -V

Watcher started; compiling the entire site...

Captain! We’ve been hit!

(empty)

I think it's probably related to the Rules file but perhaps someone else already knows how to solve this. I'm also new to nanoc so sorry if this is a noob question.

hmm - this is working fine for me on master. you ran a bundle install and everything (just double-checking)?

Yup. Using Ruby 1.9.2.
