Accidentally derped on PR #191. This is the correct PR to resolve issue #188 in full and issues #137 and #180 in part. This PR closes PR #191.
This should bring consistency in tone and style for these articles. Notably, this PR also removes the obsolete 'exercise.md' file associated with the former jqfundamentals content.
