Conceal href

Continuing the recent series (#1968 #2034 #1972 ) of issues regarding concealments, I was wondering if we could have concealment of the first argument of

\href{https://long-url-that-I-would-conceal.com}{displayed link}

Yes, that seems useful.

This feature seems to have gone missing in later updates, presumably by mistake.

No, but perhaps VimTeX did not properly detect the hyperref package?

In the test example, it works as expected. The left-hand side shows the full command, the right-hand side the concealed version.

I guess you're right. I found I had to re-compile the document, after upgrading vimtex, in order for it to conceal again.

In some cases, the packages used in a document are "implied" or included implicitly by the class or other packages. In these cases, VimTeX often do not recognize the packages immediately, and you have to compile the document first. When the document is compiled, then the file <main>.fls will list the packages and VimTeX will become aware of all required packages.

It is possible to force enable some packages, see :help vimtex_syntax_packages.
