SVG Overflow Hidden

In IE9 SVG elements can go beyond the outside of the svg tag. Where most browsers treat the svg tag as overflow: hidden IE9 does not.

An example of this can be seen in the reset.css from 960 at https://github.com/nathansmith/960-Grid-System/blob/master/code/css/reset.css#L197.

Is this something that should or can be incorporated here as well?
