I too would really like this feature; a rebase of the old patch was requested, so here it is :)

(No changes other than some very simple merging)

Closes #21

The cutoff setting, if set to something other than 0, ensures that dates
older than this number of milliseconds is not touched by timeago.

Thanks. There's now a v1.2.0 that incorporates this.
