Wrap the base styles in If the CSS is not modifiable by you, you could move the utility classes outside any layer: -@import "tailwindcss";
+@layer theme, base, components, utilities;
+
+@import "tailwindcss/theme.css" layer(theme);
+@import "tailwindcss/preflight.css" layer(base);

Wrap the base styles in
@layer base. Though at least for those styles pertaining toul,li, they are included within Tailwind's preflight.If the CSS is not modifiable by you, you could move the utility classes outside any layer:
