Exception when issuing GetDate - 0.9.6 and jQuery 1.8.14

When I issue a datetimepicker getDate I get an exception within jQuery-UI...."...unable to get value for property "settings"

I have been using datetimepicker for quite a while.....however now it suddenly is not working as I move forward to jQuery 1.8.14.

I finally had to back off to datetimepicker version 0.9.3 with jQuery 1.5.2 and jQuery-UI 1.8.12 to obtaina working environment. jQuery-UI 1.8.14 and datetimepicker 0.9.6 simply will not work.....getDate fails deep within jQuery-UI.

Here is more info on what I am experiencing with 0.9.3 and 0.9.6

With 0.9.3 if I use it with jQuery-UI 1.8.14 the getDate function always returns today's date. 0.9.3 works reliably with jQuery-UI 1.8.12.....jQuery 1.5.2 is being used in all cases.

If I attempt 0.9.6 with jQuery-Ui 1.8.14 I receive the "....unable to get value for property "settings"....deep within jQuery-UI....when issuing the getDate.

Please provide additional ASAP.

I had the same probleme using GetDate - jQuery 1.6.2 and jQuery UI 1.8.15

I also ran into this, it was when I was calling datetimepicker("getDate") on an element that hadn't been initialized with e.datetimepicker() yet; re-ordering the source so the element was initialized first solved the issue for me.

FWIW, I am running jquery 1.6.1, jqueryui 1.8.16 and timepicker 0.9.7

I finally resolved this problem by moving the location within my code where I issue the datetimepicker('getdate').....I now only issue the 'getdate' in the DateTimePicker onSelected or onClose events and I stuff the selected date off somewhere for later use.....in my case I tag it to a DOM selector using $(selector).data("xxx", data).....which is then later picked up
