data-validation-format does not work well with data-suggestions

Format validation shows error when user selects correct data-suggestion.

This is happening because the field is losing focus when the suggestion is selected causing the validator to run against an empty field.

I fixed this on my project with:

$("input[name=birth]").change(function () {
$(this).blur();
});

However it isn't working on JSFiddle. My issue was with the jQuery UI's calendar and timepicker, where the input looses focus when an object is selected. So I fired blur() when the value changed so it would re-validate. Gives me an ugly flicker though.

This doesn't fix the problem. The flicker is from the field validating when it loses focus, then triggering another validation on change. Probably should add a data attribute to pass the trigger event on to the popup/modal instead.
