The page in question is http://www.prestonbridge.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/
The text, annoyingly, is my name on my credit, near the bottom of the
page - the last (4th) line of the club officers section.
It's valid html 4.01 & css, and works in moz, as well as ie4 & ie6, but
in ie5.0 the "Chris Sharman" between "Web Author:" and the gif of my
email disappears. Clearly it's an ie5 bug - can anyone explain it or
suggest a workaround please ?
(I haven't a copy of ie/mac or ie5.5 to test)
While I'm asking, how about the technique used there for hiding email
addresses from harvesters ?
I'm aware that people can spam me directly (via the website), and that
people can visually read the gif of my email address, but I think the
script is hidden, and it's as proof as it can be against harvesters,
while allowing legitimate contact.
Thanks
Chris
