Its quite simple... there is no attribute called "alt" for <a> elements.
You might have fallen in to the trap of thinking that ALT means "A L33T
Tooltip thing". It doesn't, its a text ALTernative for an image.
Have a read of http://www.htmlhelp.com/feature/art3.htm
And href="javascrip t:" is less then useful. If you want popups (EUGH!) then
use reasonable code for them:

I've always thought the "there is no attribute ..." error message is not
only an ugly phrase but needlessly ambiguous. It is trying to say "the ...
tag does not take the ... attribute" but it could be read as "there is
supposed to be a ... attribute and it isn't there" and leave you scratching
your head because you can see it is.
You have used 'alt' attributes on your <a> link tags and they aren't
supposed to be there. You might perhaps have intended them to be 'title'
attributes.
