    Really basic css question.

Hi all, ok i'm brand new to css. I was investigating it to make my site
more versatile. At the moment it is entirely flash. I want to make 2
versions of it. one plain text html and the other using flash components
for the button navi system. The idea is to have the logo and navi
horizontally across the top and then to load each page in the lower half of
the window. I dont want to use frames and tables is annoying. OK so
finally down to my question. How can i load the lower content without
frames so that the top navi doesnt have to be re-loaded? Reloading would be
fine for the html plain version but the flash movie would need to know where
it was each time it was reloaded so as not to start at the beggining. I
    hope this makes sense.

Lots of thanks to anyone who can help me out.
    -Simon

You can try Iframes, but most web designers generally puke when you
    mention anything "frame"

or use DHTML. A Google on "dhtml" and "iframes alternatives" will give
you all the links you need to follow and learn. Hope this helps,
