1033rd Soldiers train on mission essential tasks, conduct live-fire range
Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Cedar Bluff-based 1033rd Engineer Company, 276th Engineer Battalion, 329th Regional Support Group train on survivability and construction operations mission essential engineer tasks and conduct blank and live-fire platoon-level base defense May 2-3, 2018, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. Earlier this year, the Soldiers used engineer heavy equipment to dig fighting positions on Range 20 where they fired blank and live ammunition. The training is in preparation for a scheduled rotation at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, California, in late July.
