Activity 1: Read each statement/question below carefully and fill the blanks
with the correct answer.
1. An IP address is a string of numbers break up by using periods.
2. Your IP address is assigned to your device by your ISP.
3. IP Address expressed as a set of four numbers.
4. IP stands for Internet Protocol.
5. Dynamic IP Address was assigned automatically or manually? Automatically
6. Static IP Address was assigned automatically or manually? Manually
7. However, your IP address can change. For example, turning your router or
modem on or off can change it.
8. The STEP 5 in setting up dynamic IP Address is to Click Internet Protocol
Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and hit properties .
9. Type ipconfig in command prompt to check the IP address.
10. STEP 9 in setting up dynamic IP Address, You notice that the IP Address
192.168.1.8.0 was assigned automatically by the network including the default
gateway of the network which is 192.168.1.1.

Activity 2: Arrange the steps in setting up dynamic IP address correctly by


writing letters A to I.
C 1. Click change adapter option.
E 2. Click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and hit Properties.
A 3. Type “Settings” in the Start Menu and Click Open.
H 4. Type “ipconfig” and hit enter.
F 5. Click “Obtain an IP Address automatically” and click OK.
I 6. You notice that the IP Address 192.168.1.8.0 was assigned automatically by
the network including the Default Gateway of the network which is 192.168.1.1.
B 7. Click Network & Internet.
G 8. To check if the IP Address change to dynamic, Type CMD in the start
button and click Open.
D 9. Select the active connection (Its either LAN or Wifi), right click and click
properties.

Activity 2.1: Arrange the steps in setting up static IP address correctly by


writing letters A to I.
C 1. Click Network & Internet
E 2. Click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and hit Properties.
D 3. Select the active connection (Its either LAN or Wifi), right click and click
properties.
H 4. Type “ipconfig” and hit enter.
A 5. Type “Settings” in the Start Menu and Click Open.
G 6. To check if the IP Address change to static, Type CMD in the start button
and click Open.
F 7. Click “Use the following IP Address and type your preferred IP address, in
this case, I typed 192.168.1.150 then click OK.
I 8. You notice that the IP Address 192.168.1.8.0 was assigned by the user and
not by the network. The default gateway hides automatically.
B 9. Click Network & Internet

REFLECTION:
In your opinion, what is the importance of using dynamic and static IP address in one’s
computer?

Answer:
For me, it’s important to know the fact that the static and dynamic IP address is important
in one’s computer because it is convenient remote access and more reliable connection. Easy,
automatic configuration and allow you to reuse IP address. It is also used as an interface
identification for a network of machine and allows to sent and received information by the
correct parties.
