Atif Ameer (776 Marks in Written -2nd Position)

 Search those arguments, data and facts which would be unique for the examiner. Educate your
examiner and this you can done by diversifying your resources. Do not just write cliched
arguments. Arguments must be new to examiners.
 Go through the recommended books. Take research papers from international universities
websites. Like J store etc. Few candidates would be studying these, so you’ve a chance to
differentiate yourself.
 Do not read guide book because everyone will be reading it. You need to be different to create
the difference.
 FOR PRECIS PAPER: Practise all the past papers’ precis and get those checked. Practise it from
Wren and Martin and essays of Brennand Russel, Francis Bacon and Will Durand. The difficulty
level of preics in CSS matches these 3 writers.
 FOR ESSAY: Your essay should be made in exam hall and should not be borrowed one. Never
confine your essay in one discourse. Diversify it in different perspectives. Never make your essay
unidirectional.
 There are 8 patterns: Economy, Politics, Society, Strategy, Philosophy, Literature, Science
and Religion.
 Practise Literary and Abstract because it will provoke your thinking faculty.
 FOR PAKISTAN AFFAIRS: In Pakistan Affairs, you won’t get marks without quoting the
constitution of Pakistan just like in Islamic Studies. Your every argument should be backed by
constitution of Pakistan. Remember 50-60 articles that are used everywhere. Current Affairs and
Pakistan Affairs are different. Read research papers and pdf. If a same question appears in both,
PA question would be from perspective of Pakistan, its history and constitution.
 FOR GSA: Attempt questions from Biology portion. Use labelled diagrams of every organ, charts
and tables. ‘
 Computer and environmental science portion give less marks compared to others.
 FOR ISLAMIAT: I didn’t write any Arabic verse or even the number of Surah. You can write
translation only. But you should balance it; meaning if someone is writing 5 verses with Arabic,
you should write 10 translations.
 The way you are articulating your answers and its delivery are what matters the most.
 The reference should not become your argument. It only comes in support of your
argument. So, diversify your reading and give sound arguments.

 FOR OPTIONALS: You need to communicate with the examiner in the language of that subject.
Learn jargons and glossary of every subject. Then derive your ideas and arguments from that
glossary.
 In every optionals, there are 3-4 theoretical based questions and others are general. So,
focus on theoretical questions because these are the core questions and examiner like
these. Generalized questions do not give more marks.
