SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES


PART I. TASK

COC 1. INSTALL AND CONFIGURE COMPUTER SYSTEMS (2 HOURS)

Disassemble and Assemble Computer Hardware
a In a bond paper, write at least six (6) OHS Procedures

2 Configure the BIOS/CMOS for installation.
Prepare the installer and install Operating Systems and Software
Application
a Install Windows 7 for client
b Create a USB bootable installer for Windows Server 2008 R2.
c Install Windows Server 2008 R2 for server computer using USB

d Install Linux/Ubuntu alongside Windows 7 for client computer.
e Install drivers for your client and server computer.
f Install MS Office for client computer.
g Install Antivirus for client computer.

COC 2. SETUP COMPUTER NETWORKS (2.5 HOURS)

5 Perform network cable splicing, installing and testing
6 Setup network configuration (SOHO and AD HOC networks)
7 Setup Router/Wi-Fi/Wireless with network name and passkey
8 Setup internet connection sharing
9 Setup Wireless Access Point with network name and passkey
10 Setup Firewall, Quality of Service (QOS) and MAC Authentication
11 Conduct Test

COC 3. SETUP COMPUTER SERVERS (1.5 HOURS)
