1. Remove all the component inside the system unit except mother board
Make an inventory:
Components/materials description
Ex: 2 RAM 2gb/1gb DDR2
Tools
Philips Screw driver
Equipment
Network rack
router
Note: include those that you used in cabling and in server configuration
CABLINGS
2. Cabling connections:
a. Router patch panel hub
b. access point patch panel hub
c. server pc patch panel hub
d. hub client pc
INSTALLATION
1. Reset router and access point
2. Install windows 2008 r2 and check drivers if all installed.
(right click computer, properties, device manager then use driver pack to install uninstalled drivers same
with windows 7)
a. Off firewall
b. Set time zone to ___
c. Set date and time
d. Change computer name if required
e. Install browser (Firefox/chrome) and MS office
ROUTER CONFIGURATION
a. Set the static IP Address of the server pc
-click set IP add DNS server automatically by clicking on the network icon on the right side of
the task bar, then select network and sharing, properties…….
Ex. IP Address: 192.168.0. 100
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.0.1 router ip address
Preferred DNS: 192.168.0.1 same with default gateway
Note: do the same with Access Point. After you configured AP, off or remove connection.
INSTALL DHCP
- Validate – write the IP address of the server
- Wins not required
- Scope name: as required ( CSS Lab)
- Starting IP Address- plus 1 to the 4th octet of the server IP Address or as required
- Ending IP Address: as required
- Disable IPv6
CLIENT PC- CHANGE WORKGROUP TO DOMAIN – on the router- set IP Address to automatically
- Roght click computer – advanced system settings – computer name tab- change – click domain button-
type your domain name (surname.com.ph) –enter your log in user:
Ex: chris@dulfo.com.ph PW: Admin2018
REMOTING CLIENT
- Start- accessories- remote desktop connection
