- Click OK - Press Enter
- Go to Computer - Click Next (2x)
- RC Properties - Select Create a New Domain Forest
- Type Computer Description: Client - Click Next
- LC Change - Type a Local Group (Ex. mdc.local)
- Change Work Group: depends on the - Click Next

- Wait until Server restarts - Click Yes

Windows Server 2008 – Server
- Create Password

- Click Finish then Restart PC
- LC Properties
- Go to Sharing and Discovery Enroll Client
- Turn On everything except the Password - Go to Start button
- LC Manage Network Connection - RC Computer
- RC Local Area Connection - Properties
- Properties - Click Change Settings
- LC IP version 4 - Click Change
- LC Properties - LC Server Domain
- LC use the ff. IP - Type (ex. mdc.local)
- Type IP address - Click OK
- Note: IP add depends on the assessor - Name: Administrator
(Ex. 192.168.0.2) - Password: Server Password
- Subnet Pass (Ex. 255.255.255.0) - Click OK (4x)
- Default gateway depends on the Router’s - Click Close
IP add (Ex. 192.168.0.1) - Then Restart
- Go to Computer
- RC Properties Note: Be sure that the server and client must be paired
- Click Change Settings for you to proceed to Remote Desktop

Server - Click Add Role Services
- Go to Start button - Check all except Win 2003, file and indexing
- RC Computer Properties - Click Next (4x)
- LC Remote Settings - Check Local Disk
- Click Allow, OK, Apply, OK - Click Next (2x)
- Check Local Disk
Client - Click Next
- Go to Start button - Click Install
- RC Computer Properties - Click Close
- LC Remote Settings
- Click Allow, OK, Apply, OK Server
- + Click Roles
Server - Click + Active Directory Domain Services
- Click Start - Click + Active Directory Users
- Type Remote Desktop Connection - RC on your Domain (Ex. mdc.local)
- Press Enter - Select New
- Type the IP address of the computer you Organizational Unit (OU)

- Then Enter - Click OK
- Name: Administrator - Go to your OU
- Password: Server Password - RC then Create New User
- Press Enter - Type Name, Log-on Name

Client Remote Server - Make a password then uncheck the first box
- Click Start button (Note: do not forget your Log-on Name)
- Type Remote Desktop Connection
- Press Enter Switch User – Other User
- Type the IP address of the computer you - Switch User Log on to your Client which you

- Press Enter - Log-on Name: (the User you made in your

- DNS/DHCP/Print Services - RC on the Namespace you made
- Go to Server Manager - Click Properties
- Click Roles - Click Sharing
- Click Add Roles - Click Advanced Sharing
- Click Next - Click Permissions
- Check DHCP Server, Print Services - Click Add
- Click Next (3x) - Enter your Username
- Click Validate - Click Check Names
- Click Next (2x) - Click OK, Allow All, Apply, OK, Apply, OK,
- Add Range(depends on the client) Close
Ex. Starting IP Address: 192-168.0.3 Client
Ending IP Address: depends on the - Log Off then Log On

- Click the Namespace you made - Go to Computer
- Create New Folder - Click Local Disk C
- RC Properties - Click DFSRoots
- Click Sharing - Click the Namespace you made
- Click Advanced Sharing - Click the Folder you made in your
- Click Share Folder button Namespace
- Click Permissions - Click the folder you Redirect (ex.
- Click Add Documents)
- Enter your Client Name - Click Continue, Security Tab, Continue
- Check Names - Click Administrator (your domain here
- Allow All, Apply, OK, Apply, OK (Ex. MDC/Administrator)
- Copy Network Path (ex. \\Server// - Click Apply
- Go back to Server Manager - Click OK (3x)
- Go to the User you made - Click Close
- RC Properties - Open the Folder again
- Go to Profile - Click Continue
- Click Connect
- Paste the Network Path \\Server// Client
- Click Apply, OK - Go to Computer
- Go to the Folder you Redirect
Client (Ex. Documents)
- Log Off then Log on PC - Find the Folder being Redirected
- RC Properties, Security, Edit, Administrator
Server - Click Allow All, Apply
- Go to Server Manager - Click OK (2x)
- Click + Features - Create Text Document: Your name, Age,
- Click +Group Policy Management Address
- Click +Forest:mdc.local
- Click + Domains PRINTER SHARING
- Click mdc.local
- RC your OU (Ex. CSS) (Note: In installing the Printer’s Driver, please read the

- Click Edit - Go to Start button
- Click Computer Configuration - Type Printers
- Click policies - RC Printer
- Click Administrative Template - Sharing
- Click Network - Click Share this Printer
- Click Offline Files - Security
- Click Setting - Add
- Click Allow/Disallow - Type your Username
- Select Disable - Check Names
- Click Apply then OK - Click OK, Allow All, Apply, OK
- Click User Configuration - Server Manager
- Click Policies - Roles
- Click Windows Settings - Printer Services
- Click Folder Redirection - Printer Management
- RC on any folder you want to redirect (Ex. - Printer Servers
Documents) - Server
- Click Properties - Printer
- Choose Basic Redirect - RC Printer
- Paste Network Path \\Server// - Click Properties, Security, Add
- Click Apply then OK - (your Client Username)
- Check Names, Allow All, Apply, OK
Deploy Printer
(Note: You will deploy the printer to your GPO. So
deployment starts after creating the GPO)

Server
- Go back to Printer
- RC, Deploy with GPO
- Browse
- Find your GPO
- Click OK
- Check the 2 boxes for Security Purposes
- Click Add, Apply, OK

How to Print the Documents from your Client?

Client
- Go to Computer, Network, Server
- Click the Printer name
- After connection, go to the File you want to
Print
- Open the File
- Click CTRL+P to print or Click File then Print
