CONFIGURE THE ACCESS POINT/ROUTER

Reset the router and take note of the following: Open a browser and enter 190.168.0.254.
 Default IP address: 192.168.0.254 Type the username and password.
 Username: admin
 Password: admin

Select Access Point Change Wireless Network Name (SSID) and


password.

Disable DHCP Server and enter a new IP Click Reboot button

CONFIGURE SERVER/CLIENT IP ADDRESS

Right-click LAN card  Properties Select TCP/IPv4  Properties

Enter the IP address, subnet mask, default Repeat the same procedure for the SERVER but

Test the connection using the “ping” in the command

INSTALL ACTIVE DIRECTORY DOMAIN SERVICES &
DNS SERVER

On the Start menu search box, The installation wizard will appear.
enter the dcpromo. Click Next.

The next window will appear. Click Next. Select Create a new domain in a new forest 
Next.

Enter your desired domain  Next. Select Window Server 2008 R2  Next.
Check the DNS server  Next. A message box will appear.
Click Yes button.

Click the Next button. Enter a valid password  Next.

The summary window will appear. Check the Reboot on completion.


Click Next.
CREATE ACTIVE DIRECTORY USERS AND COMPUTERS

From the Start button, locate the Right-click the domain name  New 
Administrative Tools  Organizational Unit.
Active Directory Users and Computers.

Enter the Name of the organizational unit. Right-click on the blank space in the right pane
Uncheck the checkbox.  New  User.

Enter the name and user logon name  Next. Enter a valid password, check User cannot
change password  Next.

Click Finish button.


ADD ROLES TO SERVER

From the Server Manager, click the Roles  Click Next button.
Add Roles.

Check the following and then click the Next button.


 Remote Desktop Services
 DHCP Server
 Print and Document Services
 File Services

1. REMOTE DESKTOP SERVICES

Click the Next button. Check the Remote Desktop Session Host  Next
button.

Select Do not require Network Level


Click the Next button.
Authentication  Next button.
Select Per User  Next button. Click the Next button.

Click the Next button.

2. DHCP SERVER

Click Next button. Click Next button.

Enter the Preferred DNS server IPv4 address  Select the WINS is required for applications on this

Click Add… to add scopes. Fill-up the required fields.

Select Disable DHCPv6 stateless mode for this Click Next button.

SHARE FOLDER AND JOIN DOMAIN

SERVER (Share Folder)

Right-click the Desktop  New  Folder  Right-click the folder  Properties  Sharing

Select Find people from the drop-down. Enter the object name (Authenticated Users) 
Check Names  Ok button.

Right-click Authenticated Users  Read/Write Select Everyone.

Right-click Everyone  Read/Write Wait until Sharing Items processed.


CLIENT (Join Domain)

Right-click Computer  Properties Click Change settings link.

Click Change button. Enter the Domain name  Ok

Enter the domain username & password  Ok Restart the computer.

GROUP POLICY MANAGEMENT

Go to Start  Administrative Tools  Group Go to the Forest Domain  Domains 


Policy Management. Domain Name.

Right-click the Domain Name  Create a GPO Enter the Name of the GPO  Ok button.

Paste the copied path to the Root Path. From the Settings tab, check Also apply
redirection policy… Ok button.
Run the “gpupdate” for server & then client.
