Equipment and Accessories

LAN Card – is a network interface card. This is a computer circuit board or card
that is installed in a computer so that it can be connected to a network.

Server – is a part of a network. It is a special computer that users
on the network can access to carry out a particular job.

Network Switch – is a network hardware that connects devices on a

computer network by using packet switching to receive and forward
data to the destination device.

Modem – it is a device
that allows a given computer to share data or otherwise a
device which let computers exchange information.

Patch Panel – A patch panel, patch bay, patch field or jack

field is a device or unit featuring a number of jacks, usually of the
same or similar type, for the use of connecting and routing
circuits for monitoring, interconnecting, and testing circuits in a
convenient, flexible manner.

Router – is a network
device that forwards data packets between computer networks.
Router performs the traffic directing functions on the internet.
Data sent through the internet, such as a web page or email, is in
the form of data packets.

Tools

Philip Head Screwdriver – used to loosen or tighten positive

slotted screws.

Flat Head Screwdriver – used to loosen or tighten negative

slotted screws.

Long nose Pliers – is used for holding, bending and stretching the lead of electronics components or
connecting wire.

Crimping Tools – A crimping tool is a device used to conjoin two

pieces of metal by deforming one or both of them in a way that
causes them to hold each other. The result of the tool’s work is
called a crimp.

Wire Stripper – a wire stripper is a small, hand-held device

used to strip the electrical insulation from electric wires.

LAN Tester – for RJ11,12,45 &

BNC w/ Remote Unit. This
ergonomic tester is designed to
test most network cable wiring.
You can either conduct an auto or manual test.

Punch Down Tool – also called a krone tool, is a hand tool

used to connect telecommunication and network wires to a
patch panel, punch down block, keystone module, or surface
mount box. The “punch down” part of the name comes from
punching a wire into place using an impact action.

RJ 45 – A registered jack (RJ) is a standardized physical network

interface commonly used for connecting computers onto Ethernet-
based local area network (LAN).
