COC 1 – INSTALL AND CONFIGURE COMPUTER SYSTEMS (2 HRS)


Requirements Tools:
-2 Desktop
-1 Laptop
-Installation of Operating System “Windows 10” and Windows “Server 20012 R2”
-Create 2 partitions (c: 60% d: 40%)
-CD or Bootable Flash drive with OS “Windows 10” and Windows “Server 20012 R2”
-Drivers pack Installer (LAN)
-Microsoft Office
-Anti-Virus (Microsoft Security Essential)
-Turn off Firewall

Create Bootable Flash drive (win10)

1. Go to Start – type CMD


2. Diskpart
3. List Disk
4. Select Disk 1
5. Clean
6. Create partition primary
7. Select Partition 1
8. Active
9. Format fs = ntfs quick
10. xcopy D:*\*.*/s/e/f j:\
Location of Installer
Location to place the installer
COC 2: SET UP COMPUTER NETWORK (2HRS 30MINS)
Requirements Tools:
-1 Router
-1 Hub
-1 Patch Panel
-1 Keystone
-1 Modular Box (RJ45)
-11 pcs RJ45
-1 Lan Tester
-8 UTP Cable (2M each)
-Crimping Tool
-Screwdriver
-Patch down tool

Prepare 5 straight through cable


Connect cables and devices
ROUTER

- Reset Router, click start type ipconfig (check default gateway, 192.168.0.1)
- On browser (Google chrome) type the default gateway of the router 192.168.0.1
- Default Username: admin and Default Password: admin
Go to Wireless
Change Router Name or Wireless SSID
Change Wireless Password
DHCP (disable)
Network (LAN)
Change the IP address of router (192.168.1.1)
Reset/Save

Static IP addressing
Client – 192.168.1.3
Server – 192.168.1.2
Router – 192.168.1.1

PING IP
Using 3 CMD
Server : ping 192.168.1.2 -t
Router : ping 192.168.1.1 -t
Client : ping 192.168.1.3 -t

FIRST INITIAL CONFIGURATION BEFORE PROCEEDING TO COC 3

1. Obtaining the IP address of Client (Win2010)


Click LAN or Network Icon
Click Network and Sharing Center
Click on Change adapter settings
Right click on the Local Area Connection icon and select Properties
Select TCP/IPv4 then properties
Click Obtain, Close
View status IP address should start with 169…

2. Create & Configure folder in Server: Drive D (WinServer)


Create New Folder at drive D
Name it to CSSNC2
Right click then Properties
Click Sharing
Click Advance Sharing
Check the box (share this folder)
Click Permissions
Remove everyone
Click Add
Click Advance
Click Find Now
Select Administrator and Administrators
Check Allow Full Control (both Administrator and Administrators)
Apply, ok, Apply, ok, ok

3. Enable Remote Desktop Connection (WinServer)


Go to Start then input “OOBE”
Look for Enable Remote Desktop
Then Click Allow connections from computers running any version of Remote Desktop
(Less Secure)

4. Change Computer Name (OOBE Procedure) (WinServer)


Go to Start Menu/Desktop
Input/Type OOBE
Look and Click for Provide Computer name and Domain
Click Change
Then Input your Computer Name
Then Click OK

5. Network Configuration (WinServer)


Just double check if your server has still its Static IP Address

COC 3: SET COMPUTER SERVERS (1HR 30MINS)

1. Install ADDS (Active Directory Domain Services) (WinServer)

Win Server 2008R2 (Open the server manager roles and add roles)
Click roles
Add roles
Click server roles
Check the box of Active Directory Domain Services
Click Install
Wait until finished
Read the Blue Print
Click Close

2. DNS (Domain Name System) Server (WinServer)


Click Start
On the search box, type dcpromo.exe
Click automatically
Check the box of DNS
Click next
Click create
Click next
Create a domain name in a new forest (ex. sir.local)
Click next
Change the level into Windows 2008 R2
Click next, next
Click yes, next
Type the password (P@ssw0rd)
Then retype password (P@ssw0rd)
Click next, next
Check the box (Reboot for completion)
Reboot
Will automatically restart

3. Add DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) (WinServer)


Click roles
Click add roles
Click server role
Check the box of the DHCP Server
Then next, next, next
Click validate
Click next
Click win is not required
Click next
Add or edit DHCP scope
Click Add
Add scope
Type scope name (ex. DHCP Scope)
Type starting IP Address (ex. 192.168.1.1)
Type ending IP Address (ex. 192.168.1.10)
Subnet mask (255.255.255.0)
Default gateway (192.168.1.1)
Click ok
Then next
Click disable (ver.6)
Then click next, next
Click install
Wait till finish
Click close

4. Organizational Unit (WinServer)


Start
Click Administrative Tools
Click Active directory users and computers
Then expand the domain name (right click sir.local)
Click Organizational Unit (CSS)
Click ok/highlight
Right click the open space
Click New
Click use
Username – 1st name (user1)
Click next
Password (P@ssw0rd)
Uncheck the 1st box
Check the 2nd & 3rd box
Click finish
Create user2 (same as to user 1)
Close

SERVER GROUP (WinServer)


Highlight/select both User1 and User2
Right Click Add to Group
Advanced (Find Now)
Click Administrators, ok
Permissions (Allow All) Apply
Close

5. Folder Redirection (WinServer)


Click start
Administrative tools
Group Policy Management
Expand Forest
Expand domain name (sir.local)
Right click Organizational Unit (CSS)
Create GPO (Group Policy Object)
New group (CSS)
Choose none, ok
Click Organizational Unit
Right Click GPO
Then edit
Expand other “user configuration”
Expand Policies
Click Windows Setting
Folder redirection
Right Click Desktop
Click Properties
Setting-choose basic
Rooth path: name of computer server and name of folder in drive d ex.(\\sever\\
CSSNC2)
Apply, yes, then ok
Same as to documents
Close, Close

6. Remote Desktop (WinServer)


Click Start
Administrative Tools
Remote Desktop Connection
Select Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration
Right Click restrict Properties (Uncheck) restrict No

7. Installing Print Services (WinServer)


Roles
Add roles
Print Services
Next, next
Then Install
Close

8. Installing Printer (WinServer)


Control panel
Printer
Add printer
Click local printer
Next
Choose Epson LX-300+/II
Ok, then next

9. Deploy Printer (WinServer)


Click Start, Administrative tool
Print Management
Click Print Servers
Select Printer (Installed Printer)
Right click, deploy printer
Click Browse
Click CSS, Ok
Check boxes, Click Add
Then OK
10. GPupdate COC 4: MAINTAIN AND REPAIR
Click start COMPUTER SYSTEMS AND NETWORKS
Type CMD (1HR)
Type gpupdate/force
Wait for successfully completed and PC 1. WIN10
will automatically start Go to COMPUTER properties
Change Settings
11. JOINING in a Domain (Win2007) Type WORKGROUP on workgroup
Go to client Obtain IP Address
Right click the computer
Click Properties 2. WIN Server 2008 R2
Click change settings Click Start
Then click change Type dcpormo.exe
Click domain Delete, delete, next, next, restart
Type the domain name ex. (sir.local) Go to server manager
Click ok Server role
Remove roles
Windows security Uncheck ADDS, DNS and DHCP
Username (administrator)
Password (P@ssw0rd) Format Drive D
Click ok Go to Server manager
Wait for the confirmation Remove roles
Click ok and then close Uncheck Print and Documents
Restart now the client Services

Start Menu
Remote Desktop Connection
Computer IP of Server (192.168.1.2)
Password (P@ssw0rd)
Ok, Yes
Click the sign close “x”
Ok Log off the user1
Ok, Log on user2
Click switch user
Click other user
Username; user2

Create Bitmap
Right click then print

Back to win server 2008 R2


Open shared folder d: css
Open user1
Right/double click desktop
Click properties
Click security
Continue
Click security tab
Continue
Administrator
Apply then ok, ok, close

*Same process as documents
