Editor's Notes

  • #6 To reach the first goal we wanted to create an atmosphere that would promote a joy of reading, the physical space needed to be reorganized and updated
  • #9 To promote a joy of reading we also need new books. Many of the books are from the old school location and have seen better days. I have ordered new books, mainly 3 and/or 4 or 5 book in popular series as well as nonfictions in heavily requested areas. These books have arrived and I am now working on ordering more books using the credit from the Scholastic Book fair. Donations continue to come in and I am getting these resources out on the shelves as quickly as possible. Future projects include getting all the books in the library into the database.
  • #11 To Support Information Literacy, school library can encourage the use of reference books for background information to generate search terms and the use of nonfiction books and databases for research
