Blended Learning

A. TECHNOLOGY PLAN

I. Course Design

a. Nominal Duration: 280 hours (Blended)


i. Basic Competencies: 40 hours (blended)
Participate in workplace communication: 10 hours
Work in a team environment: 10 hours
Practice career professionalism: 10 hours
Practice occupational health & safety: 10 hours
ii. Common Competencies: 80 hours (blended)
Apply Quality Standards: 11.5 hours
Perform Computer Operation: 11.5 hours
Perform Mensuration and Calculation: 11.5 hours
Prepare and Interpret Technical Drawings: 11.5 hours
Use Hand Tools: 11.5 hours
Terminate and Connect Electrical wiring and Electronic Circuit: 11.5
hours
Test electronic components: 11.5 hours
iii. Core Competencies: 160 hours (blended)
Install and Configure Computer Systems: 40 hours
Set-up Computer Networks: 40 hours
Set-up Computer Server: 40 hours
Maintain and Repair Computer Systems and Networks: 40 hours

b. Trainee Requirements
i. With basic knowledge in computer literacy and internet navigation
ii. at least a High School Diploma (Junior High)
iii. can communicate either oral and written
iv. Must pass the trainability/aptitude test

c. Trainer Requirements
i. Holder of National TVET Trainer’s Certificate (NTTC) Level I in CSS NCII
ii. *Must have at least 2 years relevant job/industry experience
iii. Must have e-TESDA certificate of Practicing COVID-19 Preventive Measures
in the Workplace
iv. With relevant training in facilitating eLearning Sessions

d. Monitoring and Grading System


Built-in LMS Monitoring System such as logs reports, activity reports, and
gradebook shall be utilized to track the attendance and learning progress of the
trainees. The activity completion tracker shall be enabled for the participants to
monitor their own progress.
In face-to-face learning, a guided progress and achievement chart will be
provided at the venue. Also, a performance criteria checklist will be given to
monitor the progress of assigned tasks to be performed.

e. Institutional Assessment System/Assessment Method


The following assessment methods shall be used for assessing the
competency of participants:

Demonstration - This should allow for the application of skills and


knowledge in a range of complex areas and in a variety of familiar and unfamiliar
contexts by means of giving certain task. A trainee should be able to get 100% of
the required evidence to pass the task.

Online/Computer based test – This is composed of multiple-choice test


given online. The computer- b a s e d test shall only be opened to a particular
participant scheduled for assessment during a designated time. If the participant
failed to take the test during the designated time, he should notify the online mentor
for another schedule of test. A trainee should be able to get at least 80% of the
correct answers to pass the test.

Face-to- Face Demonstration – A scheduled actual demonstration is required


to each trainee to perform a schedule based on the performance in performing
activities inside the LMS since the majority of eLearning materials is the
prerequisite to perform the face-to- face demonstration. Maximum of 10 trainees
is required to report on the workshop to maintain social distancing as required by
IATF. Schedule will be posted on the LMS chat groups.

f. Training Plan/Schedule
The training shall run for 1 week depending on the competency of the enrolled. A
more detailed breakdown of schedules, which include learning activities deadline
of submission of outputs, and assessment, shall be indicated in the study guide
which will be uploaded to the LMS to serve as further guidance to ensure
completion of the program.

II. Training Package

A Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) for Computer Systems Servicing NC II


is prepared. The eLearning material is a package consisting of web scripts, videos,
quizzes, interactive elements, task sheets with performance criteria checklist. The
institutional competency assessment is composed of computer-based tests on the LMS
and Portfolio. The portfolio shall be a complete package for Unit Competency. These are
all in the LMS course area for Computer Systems Servicing NC II. A printed material is
required to perform the task during the face-to-face session.

B. INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT SYSTEM

I. The Learning Management System


a. The Computer Systems Servicing NCII (LMS) shall be utilized as the training
platform which can be accessed at https://www.e-tesda.gov.ph. Another LMS shall
be used as the hands-on development site which can be accessed at
http://www.api.gnomio.com

b. Type of Connection: MOODLE v. 3.8, Cloud Server

c. Course Overview
This course is designed to enhance your knowledge, skills, positive attitude and
work values in accordance with the prevailing standards in the Technical- Vocational
Education and Training (TVET) and ELECTRONICS sector. This encompasses
competencies required enable to diagnose and troubleshoot problems in personal
computer systems, software, replace parts and get the system back to normal
operation. It consists of competencies to enable to install and configure computers
systems, set-up computer networks and servers and to maintain and repair computer
systems and networks.

d. Help Features (Technical Support System)


The following technical support are provided on the LMS and Training Advisories:

▪ Technical Support Groups using Facebook Messenger

e. Enrolment System
Students shall be manually enrolled to the LMS and shall be provided with their
respective user credentials.

f. Monitoring System for Learner’s Progress


The following built-in LMS monitoring tools shall be used in monitoring learner’s
progress:

g. Learner Support System


Online mentors shall be online to respond to participants’ queries from 8:00AM to
5:00PM weekdays through the following mechanism:

i. Learning Materials
The following learning materials shall be used in the training:

▪ Interactive learning materials with self-checks – the interactive eLearning


materials were developed by API TESDA. The eLearning materials were bundled
by learning outcome. The eLearning materials have the following parts:
1. Learning Objectives
2. Learning Contents
3. Interactive Learning Activities
4. Self-checks with auto feedback
5. Task Sheets with Performance Criteria Checklist

▪ Task Sheets, Performance Criteria Checklists, and output templates are


downloadable from the eLearning materials so that the task sheets maybe done
offline

▪ Computer based exams – self scoring computer based self-checks and quizzes
serve as practice exercises for participants. They are made available per learning
outcome.

▪ Sample outputs and templates for the required outputs – aside from the templates
on the eLearning materials, sample outputs, and templates maybe downloaded
directly from the LMS.

▪ Submission Bins –uploading interfaces for particular outputs (e.g., study guide)
are provided on the LMS. The participants shall upload their outputs for trainer
evaluation and download the comments and suggestions of the online mentor
through this interface. A notification email is sent by the LMS both to the participant
and the online mentor in case of submission to these interfaces.

▪ Discussion Forum is where participants can communicate with other participants.


This component of the LMS is not a live discussion area but all enrolled
participants will be able to see all posts and replies. This component will encourage
discussion of the topics being learned.

▪ Video Conferencing will also be done using the Google Meet. Google Meet will
be recorded for participants who failed to participate in the discussions.
