What is It

A user-friendly OS is Microsoft Windows 7due to its requirement in hardware and fast data
processing. Microsoft users still use the said OS although Microsoft company brought out
Windows 10 OS to the market as an upgrade and announced that there is no longer an
available update for Windows 7. However, there are still more users utilizing the said OS. In
using the OS, you must consider the hardware specification requirement before the installation
of the software, or else the installation will fail. The OS requirement is written on the cover of
the installation disc or seen in the manual. Let us see the system requirements below.

Microsoft Windows 7
Component Specification
CPU 1 GHz or faster for 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor;
Memory 1 GB of RAM for 32-bit systems while 2 GB for 64-bit systems
Hard drive 16 GB available hard disk drive space for 32-bit systems while 20 GB
for 64-bit
Graphics minimum 1024 × 768 screen resolution
DVD drive Internal or external

Exceeding the minimum hardware requirements enhances the performance of the computer.
In installing OS, you can use a bootable Windows installation DVD or flash drive. Technicians
always do clean installation of OS which removes all the content of the hard drive. It is also
the same as fresh installation. However, you can upgrade the existing OS by choosing the
Upgrade during the installation process. Now that you know already the hardware
requirements and the type of installation, are you ready to install the Windows operating
system?

6
Fantastic, let us begin.

Windows 7 Installation
Below are the steps in installing the Windows 7 operating system.
